I had that model. Modernized it later by adding more memory, more video memory and eventually a Sonnect G3 extension card that made it very fast. With that card it did run Mac OS X, 10.3, as far as I remember, and was fairly usable. What it did not have though was true color; the video card simply did not produce it, even with maxed out video memory. As far as I understand the cause was that the memory was too slow for that.
