Sadly, I haven't travelled enough to know where I'd really like to be. Oh sure, I've done research, but I've travelled enough to know that what looks good on paper isn't always as good in reality. Having said all that, the country that keeps popping up as the best for me is the Netherlands. Thing is, I've never been there. So maybe I'd hate it? The first part of the plan would be to visit, not as a tourist, but really living a day in the life as much as possible. At this point in my life and how close I am to retirement; I'd probably just wait until I retired before emigrating. It makes it a lot easier than needing to get a job.
