This survey size is statistically insignificant and worse yet, the Rust crowd is known to brigade/spam the survey to influence the outcomes. It's really hard data to find anywhere, maybe GitHub[1] but even then you have to distinguish between actual projects versus abandoned projects versus elementary/academic experiments.

- talldayo 2y agoIf we want to play this game, I have no shortage of Swift brigadiers and abandoned Swift projects to point to, too. Truth be told; if you look at Swift and Rust and think they are equals in terms of multiplatform support then you must not use many different computers. Fish is written in Rust because Swift does not have maintainers that care about the sort of work Fish does. All of Swift's promising aspects are completely negated by it's borderline unusable standard library.
