The Crumbling Foundation of America's Military

- marssaxman 2y agoThis is an interesting investigation, but I'm not convinced that its conclusion adds up. What difference does it make how rapidly the US can manufacture howitzer shells when its war strategy does not depend on them? The Russia-Ukraine war hinges on artillery because neither side has air superiority, but the US - which operates the first, second, fourth, and seventh largest air forces in the world, equipped with the best hardware anyone knows how to build - can reasonably expect air supremacy in any conflict. When would they ever be limited by artillery? Who would they be fighting - aliens?
