- amiga386 2y ago"Здравствуйте, это канал об аниме?" (is this the anime channel?) "Да." (yes) "Как мне пропатчить KDE2 под FreeBSD?" (how does one patch KDE2 under FreeBSD?) ...asked Alexander Kosyrin on the #anime channel of RusNet in 2004. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/how-does-one-patch-kde2-under-freebsd https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/how-does-one-patch-kde2-under... Wait until someone tells you about the programming socks: https://knowyourmeme.com/editorials/guides/what-are-programming-socks-the-meme-explained https://knowyourmeme.com/editorials/guides/what-are-programm...

- morkalork 2y agoThe replies in that thread are on point. I'd add retro late 90s / early 2000s nostalgia aesthetic for gen-Z.
- 01HNNWZ0MV43FF 2y agoThere's a lot of overlap between the anime fan "weeb" group and the hobby programmer group. And it's funny because, there are almost no anime about programming. Like the pictures of the feminine person ordering a ticket for Oppenheimer and the tough scary person ordering a ticket for Barbie

- hiyer 2y agoAre these any good? Say, if I want to refresh my knowledge of calculus...
- abetusk 2y agoI have a few of the Manga Guide books and I haven't found them so great for the way I learn. The Manga Guide books are in a kind of "Plato's dialogue" style which I find off-putting but, for people who like ideas presented that way, it might be fun.
