I'm guessing they mean some kind of improvements to MRAM devices (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetoresistive_RAM https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetoresistive_RAM), which can be faster than conventional DRAM at the expense of high power usage.
