It would likely be safer to write a service and have interdependent relationships between redundant hosting systems in different jurisdictions without direct connections because that way you can protect against single points of failure (eg. compromised hosts, payment systems, regulators, network providers). I would be surprised if this isn't a thing yet on Ethereum or some other well known distributed processing crypto platform.
