Please don't sell it or break it down. If it isn't costly to maintain, then don't sell it for scrap as most people seem to want it. Close sign-ups if anything, but free users look like they're happy with it and after trying it, it works nicely. It's something easy to clone and it's not really something anyone would develop on top of, so rather than selling it for its user base (selling your users) plus the concept, open-source it. If anyone wants to copy the concept, it's easy to (and anyone buying it would need to write it from scratch if they want to make money out of it, anyway). That gives me mixed feelings…
