ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode adds Santa Mode, Live Video, Screensharing
- MattDaEskimo 2y agoI was a little disappointed that they didn't show any true video understanding to differentiate between the model being capable of taking photos when instructed or actually having a frame-by-frame understanding of what's happening. If I were to roll a ball across the screen would it know the direction?

- eightysixfour 2y agoTangential: does anyone know why OpenAI's livestreams for these events take so long to come back up as replays? I have standup at this time every day, it is actually very annoying to pop in, the videos gone, and there's no additional detail other than the titles on HN.

- sroussey 2y agoThe link doesn’t go to anything that shows the title. So not sure what Sant Mode is, Live Video, etc. Says “replay coming soon” instead. Lots of upvotes for a coming soon page. Or part of a page.

Concretely, they release three features inside ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode: 1) Stream live video (eg. with your iPhone camera) 2) Share your Screen 3) A Santa Mode, which is Advanced Voice Mode with a Santa-like Character I hope this clarifies it!

- dandiep 2y agoHas anyone had great success with voice mode following their system prompts? Every time I try the quality seems markedly less than the normal gpt-4o model.
