I've been pretty skeptical that Tesla should be valued more than all other automakers combined. I always figured that Toyota could just turn on their manufacturing prowess to make EVs, and start cranking them out. But this is looking less likely as time goes on. The next 5 years will much more interesting for the legacy automakers than I would have thought. Kudos to those of you with the insight to figure this out long before me. Well Tesla is not valued as a automaker so the number of cars they produce have never been tied to the stock price. BYD will sell 2,2x more cars in 2024 and is growing, its valued at less then 10% of Tesla thats is stagnant as a car company.
