- wryoak 2y agoPlanned parenthood nurse once told me the HSV tests are not very meaningful because false negatives are so common. They mighta just been trying to scare us into using condoms because syphilis was on the rise on the west coast at the time, but they definitely gave me the impression that, like public health workers talked about in the COVID years, we could be spreading around a disease from which we will never suffer but those who we infect will.
