What's it got to see with publisher or family ? Publisher takes risk every time they publish book, sometimes they loose money sometimes they earn a lot. This wouldn't deter them from publishing young author, maybe even the opposite because statistically they would have more chance to live long. If I'm alive and I work, I provide for my family. If I'm dead then im not providing for my family anymore. why should it be different for authors ?
