- alsetmusic 2y ago> The List of Highly Cited Researchers had attracted all kinds of cheating in recent years, as some scientists got on the list using tricks such as citing themselves on an industrial scale, publishing insubstantial studies every week, or colluding with other researchers to cite each other. We really gotta clean up bad actors in research. It’s terrible to have so much underhanded activity at a time when people increasingly distrust science. No wonder stupid people think the earth is flat.
