AnswerDotAI/shell_sage: saves sysadmins' sanity by solving shell script snafus
- mtrovo 2y agoI think the github page is not selling it that well, for a sysadmin I can see this being very useful for a couple of tasks: - analyse long log files and find that one needle in the haystack that's causing an issue in production - if you have version control on configuration files it could analyse changes on configurations and explain what's the effect of applying that change before it's applied - debugging firewall rules, networking issues or iptable, in general basically chatting with configuration files while maintaining the conversation grounded on the files content could be very useful - a long running debugging session where multiple iterations are needed to solve the same problem and the tool is suggesting next commands and steps with the goal of investigating a root cause for the issue
