As I said before. OpenAI cannot maintain profitability unless they can increase the pricing an order of magnitude. Adding a $200 pro plan is only the first step. Expect they will also have $2k and 20$k per month plans soon and your "normal" $20 plan will curiously be worse and worse every month

- hanspeter 2y agoThey're not adding a $200 plan to solve a profitability challenge. They have added the plan because they need to show that their most advanced model is ready for the market, but it's insanely expensive to operate. They may even still lose money for every user that sign up for Pro and start using the model.
