Sam Altman sure hopes someone figures out how not to destroy humanity
- alsetmusic 2y agoI don’t take him seriously at all. He’s a hype machine selling AGI that the current models aren’t capable of achieving.
- JohnFen 2y agoI agree. However, even if I thought it was possible, it's more than a little offensive that Altman, who has been energetically working to advance a technology that he seems to think possesses an existential risk (already an ethically bankrupt position), is hoping that someone else will fix his mess.

- hindsightbias 2y agoThe people who believe DOGE is about deregulation are the same folks who believed buying twitter was about free speech. Sam is about to learn what he can and can’t do.
- ashoeafoot 2y agoLets assume humanity destroyed if we do not move. Thus any attempt to change the course is less risky by default .
