- monroe 2y agoI built oldcarsdata.com to help classic car enthusiasts make smarter decisions when buying or selling vehicles on auction sites like Bring a Trailer, Cars & Bids, and others. What it does: Aggregates auction data for classic cars. Provides insights like average sale prices, trends by model/year, and what impacts valuations (mods, service history, flaws, etc.). Features premium reports for deep dives into specific makes/models to uncover the nuances of what sells and why. Why I made this: As an old car owner/wrencher myself, I found it hard to evaluate what a fair price was for cars in varying conditions. Auctions often tell stories, but the data behind them is scattered. oldcarsdata.com consolidates and surfaces those insights. Would love to hear your feedback
- jiveturkey 2y agocouldn’t evaluate. too much friction. i’m not giving you even a throwaway email. most buyers of classic cars are geezers so this is high friction. the sample graph image is just what BaT shows you so impossible to gauge how this is useful tldr the landing page needs a lot of work
