VMware used to be honestly my preferred option because it handled certain hairy things well out of the box that many other solutions either ignore or require non trivial integration work (for example it's trivial to connect a VMware VM to piss-poor external network by simply attaching a VLAN - which matters when the network is a fieldbus in some OT deployment) Ganeti I remember as comparatively harder to deploy (nothing was harder than openstack though)
