In case somebody gets "over-inspired" by his words keep in mind: he probably has enough money to afford to retire or be able to retire long before 60s. Regardless, even if I'm wrong about that I don't think I'm wrong about this: he has enough money to be able to say what he said. He has enough money to get philosophical about life. He is comfortably sitting at the top of the Maslow's hierarchy of needs:

For those of us - like me - who don't have a second row from the bottom fulfilled his advice of "don't lie to yourself and love yourself" is not too much applicable. Before you start to love yourself you need money. So go get those money first. Do what you have to to have enough money to live.
Now, with all that being said: I enjoyed watching this video. I watched it in its entirety from beginning to end in one sitting. I'm happy for the dude. I'm glad he "won life" so to speak and found his true self. I thank him for sharing his experience. I drew parallels for myself regarding his life experience and mine. I work as a software developer which bought me a house and a Fiesta ST :). But I'm no longer experiencing joy programming for companies and looking for software dev jobs and I'm looking for a way out (but I'm still enjoying driving my Fiesta). I'm considering becoming a nurse and working part time. But I got enough money first to be able to afford to do this. If you are 18 and don't know what to do - do NOT get a philosophy degree! Go get a degree that will get you money so that you can climb Maslow's pyramid and then do whatever you want.
So you go get your money and I'll go get those mushrooms. :)
