- tonetegeatinst 2y agoUS has a really strong control over any businesses, when you consider the amount of regulations that exist. Not that regulations are inherently bad, but you have ITAR, EAR, crypto export laws....etc. Now consider that electronic goods are export controlled, like semiconductors or HPC. You need special liscenses and documentation if any of your business deals with the ATF regulations, or department of commerce. Even scientific equipment requires signing for in certain cases. Not supprised someone got caught trying to get around the rules, it happens occasionally.
