Xenomorphs can be included into the Arthropoda phylum due to the morphological similarities shared with certain terrestrial arthropods such as an exoskeletal structure, a segmented body plan, the presence of hemolymph, etc. I don't understand the logic of this argument. If Xenomorph has evolved on a different planet, it will surely not have the same common ancestor as Animalia, let alone Arthropoda. Why would anyone classify it under those taxons?
