Unfortunately not surprising, looking at the past year or so. When he took over, I remember the enthusiasm and optimism, not only in business, but in hacker circles also. It's a pity it didn't work out. I wonder if it is even possible to save Intel (not trying to imply that "if Gelsinger can't do it, than no one can", just wondering if Intel is just doomed, regardless of what their management does).
