- webninja 2y agoIt already was mob rule by the establishment. Now it’s moving towards populist rule. For the domestic constituencies instead of for the globalists.
- TimedToasts 2y agoThe people being voted out are afraid because they know the power they have been wielding against their opponents and now it's being turned on them.
- CyberDildonics 2y agoWhere is any evidence that this is true?

- tim333 2y agoHopefully not quite going as far as everyone falling out of windows. And re “Swindly Sam” that doesn't seem far off the average HN opinion of him - see https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40434800 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40434800 or https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39559966 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39559966
- genter 2y agoIf you're like me and not staying on top of things: > In November 2024, Trump announced that he had chosen Musk along with Vivek Ramaswamy to co-lead Trump's planned Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) advisory board which will make recommendations on improving government efficiency through measures such as slashing "excess regulations" and cutting "wasteful expenditures".
- CyberDildonics 2y agoThat's the whole point. You don't give a politician $118 million as a gift, you invest it for power that pays off many times that if they win. https://www.wired.com/story/elon-musk-trump-donations/ https://www.wired.com/story/elon-musk-trump-donations/ Maybe electric car subsidies shouldn't be given to companies that don't manufacture any gas engine cars and only those companies. That's only my company? How about that. P.S. Tariff every last thing my competitors use in their cars, to make their cars and to sell them.
