Building the Ultimate Pi Kubernetes Cluster: A Journey into Cloud Scalability
- voigt 2y agotl;dr: he used 4 raspberry pi 5s, and created a k8s cluster using microk8s. There isn't so much value in this article, also not an explanation of how things were done... The chosen case looks nice, but for a cluster of PIs it looks like the wrong choice. In any case, seems like the author enjoyed his work :)
- mrtech1205 2y agoMight've been good, yes. But I think it'd have been outside the scope of his project tbf
- mrbluecoat 2y ago> To maximize the resources of my Raspberry Pi 5s, I installed Raspberry Pi OS Lite If kubernetes cluster was the goal, perhaps Talos Linux would have been the better choice: https://www.talos.dev/v1.8/talos-guides/install/single-board-computers/rockpi_4/ https://www.talos.dev/v1.8/talos-guides/install/single-board... https://www.talos.dev/v1.9/talos-guides/install/single-board-computers/turing_rk1/ https://www.talos.dev/v1.9/talos-guides/install/single-board...
- birdiesanders 2y ago100%. Talos is wonderful.
- suralind 2y agoTalos doesn't support RPI 5 yet, which I learned only after ordering 2 boards and trying to add them to my existing cluster on RPI 4.
- cr125rider 2y agoThose mini cases are adorable! Glad you had fun and learned a lot. Fiddling around is often the best way to learn.
- mrtech1205 2y agoAmazing project
