Did anyone else have Ben Ari (eskimos and igloos) for their
concurrency book as undergrad? Fortunately I never had to use "dining
philosophers" in any real restaurant situation as we always had enough
forks. I expect LLs take will be a very significant work.

(I guess the modern equivalent would be 'synchronized' methods).
- nonrandomstring 2y agoThat's right. It's the set up for the discussion of semaphores etc. Did bump into this [0] once though in the context of multi-user communications.
