It’s a great service that I used for a long time. Now, though, one can get TRNG’s easily thanks to RdRand. There’s a Python library for using it. DigitalOcean’s cheap VM’s have it. I’ve rented one just long enough to generate and download lots of random numbers for seeds.
The PRNG’s are good enough for most stuff, though. I’ve been using PCG64 (IIRC) in NumPy. Just reseed them periodically with TRNG or other seeds.
Due to random.org’s popularity, it might be worth making an OSS library if its functions with pluggable RNG’s. Maybe a web app. Then, add a TRNG in there. If you need hardware, make it a loadable VM on Digital Ocean etc.
Note: For fun, I just got a lava lamp to try to get random seeds out of it like LavaRand.
