And I do think Quisats Haderach-wise incomparability (as in BNW?) has a good bit to do with it: as in "What Do People Do All Day", « à chacun son truc » is the order of the day.   Maybe what's needed to focus our debate(?) is to substitute "psychopath" with "healthy imbecile*" :) It could have the side effect of turning you obssessive towards (Jane-Ven?) Jacobs-Rao's weird/hypernormal/riverian trifecta (rather than the psychopath/clueless/loser one) I surmised while wondering how to map those to 守破離/三殺法 (note a passing resemblance to the learning/doing or lion/fox split -- & note further that RTT is written as a healthy (well, naturally!) imbecile) Limes was supposed to be Harry Lime but I guess I wanted to leave the door open for boundaries.. *Like geohot (see his blog), who is one of the certainly pubbutlowsocsepdegfromhere ones who could be called an influencer (imho neither taleb nor gwern [hello there Graham Greene fan!] are imbecilic enough, elon.. close to being imbecilic enough)

    I've been through a bit of geohot without coming across "healthy imbecile" and syntactic search on his site: doesn't pop it up either... > "the middle class, the only class that produces value in society" —GFH Spoken like a twue member of the upper middle class! 守破離 has two paths to the top of the mountain (like hard vs soft martial arts?): if you start weird, you have to pass through hypernormal to get to riverian; but if you start hypernormal, you have to pass through weird to get there? As to 三殺法 (and as a hypernormal) I'd call vibe-posting as paying attention to the sword, and academic-crafting as paying attention to the technique, leaving ??? (tbd) as paying attention to the spirit... RTT? Not Rohan Telephone & Telegraph, presumably? For someone technical, he has way more confidence in "rewrite from scratch" than I have had (except as a cynical intra-org political play) since my mid teens. For someone avowedly middle class, he has way more belief that executives are supposed to behave as if they owned what they've been appointed to manage than I've ever had. (as with the Psmiths, are these basic confusions over ownership and management so common these days? My wife got a Tiktok [pedantry: a Reels] a while ago of Musk claiming there are Lords and Peasants at GM but not at Tesla, and we both got a good laugh out of it — yeah, right, let's juuuust look at the shares and see how difficult it may be to find a lord and many peasants)
