Honeycrisp apples are still great if you can find a local orchard that sells them direct. From the grocery store they are a bit more inconsistent and merely an upper tier Apple. I suspect the popularity of honeycrisp will eventually lead it to the same fate as Red Delicious, but only time will tell.
