Apple Pay T&C Updated (US Entity Split into "Apple Payment Services LLC")
- deleted 2y ago[deleted]
- xyst 2y agoReceived an e-mail stating T&C updated recently: > We’ve made a few updates to the Apple Pay & Wallet Terms & Conditions. Here’s a summary of the key changes: > > We have simplified our Terms and Conditions for Apple Pay and Wallet so that your review and agreement of these Terms and Conditions is effective across all of your Apple devices. > For our US customers, Apple Pay is a service provided by Apple Payments Services LLC, a subsidiary of Apple Inc. > Our Terms and Conditions now include standard assignment provisions. Anybody here understand the reasoning behind this? Is the recent litigation against banks and Apple Pay a possible reason (ie, reducing impact to LLC)? Or is this a direct cause of the CFPB ruling to bring oversight to digital payments [1]?
