Iirc Warcraft 2 came out well after the LCIII was obsolete (in fact, I’d be surprised if it was ever released for 68k Macs). Official system requirements list PowerPC and MacOS 7.6 as minimum required[1]. Maybe thinking of a different game?

- Waterluvian 2y agoWe tried both WC1 and 2. Played both to death. WC2 worked mostly well but just kind of slower game speed. In fact I got Diablo running on the LC3. A level took like 10 mins to load and it ran at 1fps though. :)
- kalleboo 2y agoThose requirements have to be from the expansion or something, I played a lot of WarCraft II on my 25 MHz '040 Centris 660AV back in the day (we also had a family Performa 5200 so my house was the only place my friends could play multiplayer networked WC2) You can just about make out "68040" in the requirements on the box art here https://images-worker.bonanzastatic.com/afu/images/7569/5203/SL500_AB280.jpg https://images-worker.bonanzastatic.com/afu/images/7569/5203... Edit: found a photo of the expansion system requirements, also lists 68040 as supported https://cdn.mobygames.com/covers/4056502-warcraft-ii-beyond-the-dark-portal-dos-other.jpg https://cdn.mobygames.com/covers/4056502-warcraft-ii-beyond-...
