Zoom Rebrands as an AI Company
- cranberryturkey 2y agoI saw an AI service that would do your zoom meetings for you. pretty soon it'll be "ai bots all the way down".
- savannahkc 2y agoThere is a ton of them now, especially on the more consumer "body double" side. I remember a few years back there was Beulr on Shark Tank doing bots for remote students so they could sleep through their classes... I am working on an API for devs to build Zoom agents currently, so definitely banking on this being the future! https://www.agentstation.ai/ https://www.agentstation.ai/
- cranberryturkey 2y agoNeed an ai-jiggler soon
- savannahkc 2y agoInteresting to see Zoom essentially rebrand again. Felt like during the covid era they were angling more for an all-in-one remote work platform with calendaring, hot-desk features for hybrid workplaces, etc - guess that didn't work out so well!
- JSDevOps 2y agoThe only thing that would benefit this company is another round of lockdowns.
- pelagic_sky 2y agoI honestly don’t think that would help. There’s too much competition now.
- pelagic_sky 2y agoGot super lucky with zoom. Bought their stock on ipo and sold at the height once I felt like that was all they could offer at the time. Seems logical they are fighting to stay relevant.
- rvz 2y agoThis move screams like a last minute desperation to stay relevant with the latest buzzword jargon, which that is "AI". Surely, we are at the peak of this AI hype cycle. If everyone including your local supermarkets are becoming "AI company", then effectively no-one is an AI company and it instead becomes meaningless.
