Re: conscious code switching, I found it highly ironic that I'd once attempted to use part of ...Mockingbird (1960) to illustrate that code switching can be used to make people feel worse ("authority") or better ("community") about themselves, only the discussion got derailed because of a use of the n-word: a use that not only the author but even the character had made deliberately, in order to illustrate exactly that point. [compare total orders and equivalence relations; both are reflexive and transitive...]

    Complete lattices, yes. Would you rather discuss chains and anti-chains in complete lattices, or the only-local-Jesus-nut complete partial orders, or how "universality" induces both inequalities and equalities in general partial orders, or...? EDIT [Re: VIU, compare LDB's complaints of betrayal. A school friend once noted that his mother only watched movies about two people who love each other but can't marry because they have the wrong colour dots on their foreheads; after that I couldn't help but notice all the US movies with the same plot, just with implicit, not explicit, dots. Courier is a late soviet wrong-colour-dot movie]

[If patched with a reproducible, consistent public goods management model that decategorifies labor (e.g. type I labor & type II(+) labor becomes incomparable) that would be the real End Of History? -> how would promoting losers to psychopaths fit] Is it that CH has no need for movies, that attracted Graham Greene so? And I do think Quisats Haderach-wise incomparability (as in BNW?) has a good bit to do with it: as in "What Do People Do All Day", « à chacun son truc » is the order of the day.         Maybe what's needed to focus our debate(?) is to substitute "psychopath" with "healthy imbecile*" :) It could have the side effect of turning you obssessive towards (Jane-Ven?) Jacobs-Rao's weird/hypernormal/riverian trifecta (rather than the psychopath/clueless/loser one) I surmised while wondering how to map those to 守破離/三殺法 (note a passing resemblance to the learning/doing or lion/fox split -- & note further that RTT is written as a healthy (well, naturally!) imbecile) Limes was supposed to be Harry Lime but I guess I wanted to leave the door open for boundaries.. *Like geohot (see his blog), who is one of the certainly pubbutlowsocsepdegfromhere ones who could be called an influencer (imho neither taleb nor gwern [hello there Graham Greene fan!] are imbecilic enough, elon.. close to being imbecilic enough)
