- jfengel 2y agoIt's the Chinese Exclusion Act, not Expulsion. Though it did create some excuses to expel Chinese already living here. The next year, Emma Lazarus wrote "Give me your tired, your poor..." for the Statue of Liberty. So the poem was a lie even before it was written down.
