- wmf 2y agoThe FCC approval was issued today so technically it can't be a dupe of a thread from two days ago but yeah, it seems like the previous discussion was motivated by the imminently expected approval.
- diebeforei485 2y agoThis is super important in case of emergencies or disaster response. Lots of people no longer have AM/FM radios. Basic SMS communication, even if people can only receive government messages, is a great thing.

- brookst 2y agoSkepticism of Musk is warranted, but this is very well understood tech and it would be surprising if it didn’t work.
