NCF agrees with some HN commentators; one could hope –if there is to be an implosion— for a similarly violence-free one? (my model is that MSG was the first "new man" who had actually been born in the Union, and his generation was therefore much less accommodating than previous ones had been of a system that, by the time you were close to the Center of it, turned out to work nothing like they'd told you it was supposed to while you were growing up) EDIT: also, I'll gladly prove Washington, like Lenin, was a mushroom if anyone feels like sending me a Halliburton full of USD 1 bills. REDIT4: are you saying.. VIU (/JVD) didn't implement a wider distribution of benefits of growth? Clearly, that didn't suffice (against new foundations, at least?) how about the apply of widerdistrib vs [self]eval of legitimacy (which should be based on wd) Didn't intend the NCF accent thing to be a red herring. If he wasn't conscious of his own accent shifts in realtime, maybe his ideological oscillations need to be examined?

  Re: conscious code switching, I found it highly ironic that I'd once attempted to use part of ...Mockingbird (1960) to illustrate that code switching can be used to make people feel worse ("authority") or better ("community") about themselves, only the discussion got derailed because of a use of the n-word: a use that not only the author but even the character had made deliberately, in order to illustrate exactly that point. [compare total orders and equivalence relations; both are reflexive and transitive...]

      Complete lattices, yes. Would you rather discuss chains and anti-chains in complete lattices, or the only-local-Jesus-nut complete partial orders, or how "universality" induces both inequalities and equalities in general partial orders, or...? EDIT [Re: VIU, compare LDB's complaints of betrayal. A school friend once noted that his mother only watched movies about two people who love each other but can't marry because they have the wrong colour dots on their foreheads; after that I couldn't help but notice all the US movies with the same plot, just with implicit, not explicit, dots. Courier is a late soviet wrong-colour-dot movie]

And I do think Quisats Haderach-wise incomparability (as in BNW?) has a good bit to do with it: as in "What Do People Do All Day", « à chacun son truc » is the order of the day.
