If I were Russia I would be concerned that China, India, and the USA have warned them not to even think about it. They would be walking around naked and hungry in the streets if they were not careful.
This is all the posturing of a dying Aberration of Monumental Evil and Murder as 800 years of their history have shown the world.
- burnt-resistor 2y agoRussian society is cannibalizing itself to survive (and to be fair, the US is too, to a much subtler and slower degree). Russia provinces are already warning their residents of power cuts this winter on state TV. Provinces are buying generators, firewood, and stoves in preparation. St. Petersburg's steam pipes are already breaking and flooding the street. There aren't enough workers to salt roads, so salt is dumped in random large piles on the street that cause more harm than good. Across Russia, 1 kg of butter is locked up like razors in US stores. Russians are standing in 4-6 hour long lines for cheap eggs. Russia ran out of domestically-grown potatoes because there aren't farmers to plant or harvest them, so they had to import them. Breaking water and steam pipes is happening all over major Russian cities, and it's taking longer to repair them because the repair people were either rounded up early for conscription or signed a contract for a one-way trip.
