I don’t know about that. For the first time in a long time I’m excited about the direction of the trend turning, since Trump seems serious about breaking up administrative and bureaucratic load.
The majority of people voting for such candidate now gives me hope that they’ll do it in the future if need ever arises. And of course it does — socialism will remain a popular and tempting ideology, since it has an illusion of “fairness” and “equality” about it.

Do you know what the definition of insanity is? Even ignoring everything else: "making jobs" is a bipartisan good move. No one is ever going to carry on the promise of "I will make less jobs" and survive long in office. And the last thing you want when you're pretending the economy is good when it isn't is to further raise the unemployment rate. This is a false promise.
- valval 2y agoHe did pretty well in his last term by cutting 8 old regulations for every new one instituted. I have no reason not to believe this time won't be even better, with more support and momentum behind him than ever. Either way, I'd place a large wager that you're wrong and I'm right.
- johnnyanmac 2y agoHe can deregulate all he want, I don't know how this correlates with fixing inflation or getting jobs back. Quite the contrary; you need regulations to respect unions or control rent prices. What do we have to show for all that deregulation? Bunch of environmental progress reverted, underfunding the organization for pandemic prep when a global pandemic hits, less bite behind anti trust investigations. Regardless of my stance on these, how do any of these bring down the price of groceries or not price out people on rent?
