I'm just glad this is happening while I'm capable and not dependent on the government. I think all the libertarian small government folks will finally start to figure out what a government is when it stops being one. Most of these advocates for reducing this number of employees think there's an office full of people collecting checks and not doing anything when in reality many of these government employees I see are cops, firefighters, soldiers, civil engineers, judges and DMV employees. If I need any of those people I certainly wouldn't want to find out I had to wait longer because their jobs were cut. The US Army alone constitutes 400k+ employees. Overall the military is more than 1.3 million active duty staff.
