Ask HN: ACM Special Interest Groups
Are you a member of any ACM special interest groups? Which ones? Do you find your membership valuable? What kinds of value are you getting out of it?
- GianFabien 2y agoI used to subscribe to several ACM SIGs and IEEE SIGs. They are useful resource if you are an academic or doing bleeding-edge R&D. Otherwise, I rarely find them any use for day-to-day engineering. After spending several thousand dollars a year on various transactions, etc over a couple of decades I cancelled them all and haven't missed them. As always, I'm just a single data point. YMMV.
