Modern art intrigues me. Who would have thought that someone would pay a fortune for a banana taped to a wall? It's not the banana itself that holds value, but the shock factor the artist brings. Can you imagine telling your friends that you just spent a million dollars on a banana duct-taped to a wall? I think that's what makes this art piece so intriguing. Also, whoever buys it probably has enough money that a million is not a big deal.
