An incremental upgrade? I have not been keeping exact count, but from what I have read on the engineers blogs, articles and MSDN - This release exceeds any past windows release for the mere number of major and minor changes to the UI and Core OS. If you want to call it incremental fine (it is version 8 after all) but the way you say that is a bit misleading. you makes it sound minor. Perhaps many of the changes you are not aware of because you are a surface user.
