Ask HN: Did the HN header become harsh bright orange color?

• mc_mike 2y ago
I’m confused… It’s always been the same color

Thank you for your response. To me it is brightened. It's been a week since I visited the site.

  #ff6600 for me

Is it soft to see or harsh to see?

Depends on your monitor? It's always been #ff6600

If you use FF searching Mozilla for HN reveals several extensions that may be useful. I use HN Enhance for dark mode viewing. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=HN https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=HN

The colour is configurable in your profile via the "topcolor" setting. Is it possible you've changed this from the default of #ff6600?
