I bet the proportion of unpaved roads would look a lot less bad if it was done by lane-miles rather than road-miles.
- kube-system 2y agoOf course, nearly all roads with >2 lanes in the US are paved. But that doesn't tell us anything other than the fact that we have the money to pave roads that are frequently traveled.
- zip1234 2y agoTruly, we have so many underutilized overly wide roads. Simply removing lanes makes money go much further
