LaunchDarkly for sure is a complete solution with a lot of options.
It depends on the use case and the experience.
As you said, you are using S3 as object storage and Cloudfront as a CDN to deliver the assets, but not everyone has your knowledge and I feel there is a need for a simple solution where:
- store the config as a JSON (or feature flags if you will)
- store the assets (without having to manually or programmatically invalidate the cache)
- retrieve the config via API
- or
- push the config in real-time and let your code react to this event
