Another consolidation that won't make audiophiles very happy.
It also states Bose bought Sonus Faber as well.
Hopefully Bose doesn't kill the brand by changing the label to Bose-McIntosh.
- JohnBooty 2y agoMcIntosh doesn't exactly have a lot of unique engineering these days. Maybe they did once, I don't know. The way I see it, their name is their only real asset and I'm fairly certain Bose feels the same. It still carries a lot of weight. If you buy McIntosh you know you're getting something overbuilt, with a certain aesthetic, great aftermarket care, and probably great resale value. [1] So I'd be pretty shocked if Bose messed with that at all. ---- [1] not that I think their gear is even remotely worth the money from what i've seen
