I surely did not want to start any fight, nindalf, and I do not realize having misread what you wrote - but the thing is, the fact that «even something that appears simple like gathering the facts and coming to a reasonable conclusion before sharing an opinion is too much effort» (in your words) is a very frequent experience for many of us, so it sounds very surprising when you state it... (And by the way, what you stated actually is "people will arrive to premature conclusions if they stop the process short" - it is what you expect deductively.) Some of us are obsessed with the "Oh my, why were they not taught to think and behave" that you noticed "as if a detail"...
