The unfortunate reality is that the immigration rhetoric has nothing to do with economics or crime, rather they are a scapegoat. Fascist rhetoric relies on a ethnic minority to blame a nation's troubles on, and Trump has chosen those from latin America. Immigration is just a vehicle to get this ideology into your home and on your TV set, but it's not the goal. Ultimately, everyone is aware mass deportation won't make anything better for anyone. It won't help our economy, our deficit, our labor, or our crime.
