It is unlikely that Trump will be able to change the Constitution, but he will remain a significant figure in the political landscape until his death. Although he may not be president, he will still serve as the de facto leader of the Republicans, giving him considerable influence regardless of his official position. The next Republican president will likely be prepared to follow his lead.
- jfengel 2y agoProbably, though Trump's schtick seems to work better for him than for anybody else -- especially at the national level. He commits to it in a way that nobody else seems able to do.
