Good idea. However, the usability will depend on which API you use. At the end of the day, it seems like stocks should give users something they can use to make a value judgement about whether to hold, buy, sell, or just curious about the news.
For example, a golden cross is a familiar phrase to those who trade stocks, but it may be unfamiliar to the average investor who doesn't trade stocks or has no knowledge of stock trading.
- Aceborn 2y agoYour absolutely right! Right now, I'm using the yfinance package which give me access to a wide range of data from yahoo finance. This app definitely requires users to have some prior knowledge and interest in stocks, although I've tried to make the explanations helpful. I'm thinking of building an application using chatgpt which will be more conversational, so that you can get advice and have it help you select stocks. Hopefully this will give users what they feel they need to make a value judgements around the stocks they select :) s
