There are shitty parents who happen to by accident raise good people. I'd probably correct this to be, "invented by slothfully complacent parents who raised evil people. Seems more accurate and likely, and fits objective externally verifiable definitions of evil people (willfully blind to the consequences of their actions) at least in retrospect. You can learn so much about lost knowledge from reading old books.
